Owner going into service and couldn't keep or get any family members to keep these two, Sum-Sum has a home pending but Casey is still looking for a forever home.
Casey does have a heart mummur that he takes inexpensive meds for. He will have to take this for the rest of his live. You would never know that Casey is 8 yrs old he loves to play with you or any dog that he runs into on his daily walks!! He also gets along with children that respect animals. He likes to play growl too but is just as sweet as can be. He really loves belly rubs!! He is housebroken and on Interceptor and frontline and UTD on all shots.
If you are interested in making Casey yours please go on line to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and be sure to put his name on it. Out of state and Canadian adopters are welcome. Home visit is required and references will be checked as well as your vet. Thank you for your interest in a rescue.
More about CASEY....SC
Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
