She is very sweet and loves people but not good with children. She is fine with other dogs but don't know about cats. She is housebroken to a doggie door but loves to be inside or anywhere with her human family. We don't think she has a lot of that so she's loving every minute of it now. She does like it outside but a fenced yard in not necessary. She has had a dental, all her shots, rabies, heartworm checked and fecal. Now she said she's ready to go to that special forever home. Please fulfill her dream to have a family of her own that will love her forever. If you are interested in adopting Angel2 please go to www.ssdr.org and fill out an online adoption application and make sure you put her name on it as the one you are interested in. We welcome all and any out of state applications and a home visit is required. If you have more questions please e mail foster mom at e mail address listed above and thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue and giving them a second chance at happiness.

Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
