BIO (10/2/2018):  Hi everyone, it's me Bailey!  I was found on the streets of Atlanta, GA with 2 other pups.  Luckily, some nice people found us and turned us in to something called a rescue.  The kind people at the rescue took care of all my needs and then sent me off again to someplace where all the people talk about some silly groundhog named Phil.

My foster mommy and daddy say I might be a young pup but I have an old soul.  Whatever that means.  I love to cuddle and if someone is sitting down, I am right beside them!  I love everyone who comes in the door!  I have 3 foster sisters and 2 foster brothers and I am fine with them.  I growl and they growl and then we give kisses to each other.  My foster grandpa calls me Bones because I am so skinny, but we are working on that.  I love to eat and can't wait for breakfast and dinner!  I'm working on my potty habits, and I am a good boy and trying to make it outside.

My wish is for a home where everyone will love me and spoil me and I will never have to look for a new home again!

More about Bailey in PA

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids, Good with Adults, Affectionate

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
