BIO (8/1/2018): Daisy is a sweetheart and the very popular mix of Dachshund and Beagle. She loves to play with other dogs and ignores the cat. Now if the cat were to run, we don’t know what she’d do but our resident cat is not afraid of dogs so he doesn’t run.
Daisy was found dumped in the road in GA and a Good Samaritan picked her up so she would not get run over. This person was kind enough to get Daisy vetted and then started to look for a rescue to take her to give her a chance at a last forever home.
Daisy is good with both men and women, a little shy at first but warms quickly. We have found she has no issues with riding in a car. She will just lie quietly in the front seat and wait until the ride is over.
Daisy lies on a doggie bed in the foster mom’s room all night with no accidents. So, from what we see, she is house-broken and also uses a doggie door.
The only issue we see right now is her fear of crates. We are going to work with her on that and see if we can get her better.
Our wish for Daisy is a fenced yard, someone home most of the time (or who can take her with them), and another younger dog for her to play with. If you meet these requirements, please fill out an application for Daisy because you could not ask for a sweeter dog!
