Meet FRITZ ....
A SMRT (Single Male Red Tweenie) Looking for Love (and Kisses) .... from you !!!!
Fritz is a sweet, sweet, boy; very "pretty", his fur is amazingly soft and somewhat stunning. The first long hair I've cared for ... I find him to be not difficult or demanding, as I expected. I only brush him 1 time per week and that keeps him silky and shiny - of course, more attentive brushing would yield a more luscious coat. Fritz loves his toys and to play - he has got some dental issues, that will be addressed at his cleaning, nothing that can't not be remedied with a good tarter scrap - even given his sore mouth - he still loves a good tug-a-war !!!! He seems very loyal, good with my kids (3-10 years old) and great with other dogs. He is working on his leash training - he was somewhat resistant at first, but will be a pro by adoption time. Please email foster mom Sandi Steckler Gibson at thegibber13413@yahoo.com for more information.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at email address - thegibber13413@yahoo.com
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about Fritz...NY
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
