Sissy is Sassafrass’s sister. She is the more timid of the pair but she still loves people and dogs. She just is more of a wall flower and lets people come to her versus jumping in with both feet! She is also the snuggle bug of the bunch. She will curl up in your arms, tuck her nose in and sleep… favorite position. Sissy also has been to puppy polite and did very well even with the rambunctious larger puppies there. She has confidence to give correction when she has enough but likes to play with those who wishes to play at her speed.
Ms. Sissy also is crate trained! At 12 weeks she will hold her potty until the morning until she goes outside and then there is the big relief! She is so very smart and knows how to get her way just by being cute! She is still young so she still has accidents when you don’t watch her signals.
Abbie would love to have a home where someone is around during the day to help her potty train, and play. Since she is so young, she cannot hold her bladder too long. Please think about adopting this precious little girl.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about SISSY...NY
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
