BIO: Let’s play! Shadow loves to play with other dogs! He’s a lot of fun and would like nothing more than to play and chase another dog around the yard until he’s tired and then cuddle on the couch with you. He’ll even chase after sticks, frisbees and balls but hasn’t quite figured out how to bring them back. He’s eager to learn and will be fetching in no time when someone teaches him.
Shadow was a stray who was picked up by animal control in Kentucky. We can’t imagine why his owners never came for him. He’s perfect in every way! He’s completely house trained, crate trained and leash trained. Shadow’s got a great personality - playful and cuddly - and doesn’t even bark much…really!
Shadow has a foster brother and sister who he likes and a cat in the house who he ignores.
When he was found, Shadow was very thin but is filling in nicely. His coat is beautiful - he just glows!
There are a few things that Shadow must have (no exceptions):
- Someone who is home with him most of the time,
- A fenced yard, and
- Another small, playful dog to be his buddy. Shadow needs a friend who is near his age (no more than 5 years old) who he can grow and play with for many years to come.
Shadow has some separation anxiety and worries when his foster mom leaves the house. He’s very relieved when she returns. He’s a smart little guy and with the right person will be able to work through his anxiety. It will take a lot of patience and loving but you’ll be rewarded with a sweet, loving boy!
