Ebony is also a calm puppy, just loves to lay in your arms and relax, but she is much more outgoing. Ebony would just as soon however hang out with you holding her all day long. She is not excited about cold and feels it easily. She is a tiny little thing and super sweet. Her mother was a doxie/Chihuahua mix and her dad was a dachshund. Ebony and her 5 siblings were surrendered because the owners just felt there were too many of them to take care of. Ebony’s favorite game with her sisters and brothers is puppy pile up…
Ebony is learning about going outside to potty. If it is really cold out, she is not excited about it right now but we are working on it diligently. When the weather is nicer the pups are eager to be outside.
Ebony loves everyone, she would fit in about anywhere. Because of her size, she would be best with older children.
Ebony would love to have a home where someone is around during the day to help her potty train, and play. Since she is so young, she cannot hold her bladder too long. Please think about adopting this precious little girl.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
If shipping by volunteers through our organization, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
