WHERE LOCATED…… INDIANAPOLIS, IN

Leo is a calm puppy, just loves to lay in your arms and relax. He is an absolute doll, loves playing with his brother and sisters. His mother was a doxie/Chihuahua mix and his dad was a dachshund. Leo and his 5 siblings were surrendered because the owners just felt there were too many of them to take care of. Leo’s favorite game with his sisters and brother is tug-a-war… they will find anything outside and play that game…

Leo is learning about going outside to potty. If it is really cold out, he is not excited about it right now but we are working on it diligently. When the weather is nicer the pups are eager to be outside.

Leo would be great with kids as he is so calm.

Leo would love to have a home where someone is around during the day to help him potty train, and play. Since he is so young, he cannot hold her bladder too long. Please think about adopting this precious little boy.

Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.

If shipping by volunteers through our organization, then there will be an additional $25 fee for the Health Certificate required. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about LEO...MI

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
