Cash is the only boy in a litter of 6 pups.  He loves affection and just can’t wait to be in your arms!  He’s the fluffiest of the bunch and has plenty of energy to match.  Cash is eager to please and you’ll have a fun time training this little guy.  He’ll be a good pup for an active sport or for a cuddle. Make sure you have plenty of time to take care of this little guy, he’s a baby and needs all the love you have to offer!

Cash’s mom was pregnant and sought shelter under an old shed.  The landowner kept note and monitored her situation as best he could.  As soon as she gave birth, he turned her and her pups over to the shelter so they could be out of the elements.  AADR got them from there and they are now almost ready for adoption.  They just need to get their second shots in a few weeks and they’ll be all set to go to their forever home!!

The puppies will be getting their 2^nd set of shots on Nov. 24^th.  They will be available to pick up the weekend of Nov. 25^th or can be transported the weekend of Dec. 2^nd if you have been approved, the contract signed, and the adoption fee paid.  If you are unable to take a puppy at that time, we cannot hold one.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
