BIO Update 10/11/17:
You couldn’t ask for a much more laid back and sweet girl than Gracie! She loves to be near her human and is great with the other dogs. Recently, she discovered the cat, so she likes to bark at her. I do not think she would hurt her, but she would definitely like to check her out! Gracie would be happiest in a home where she could sleep in the big bed at night, and a home where she did not have to be crated much. I cannot imagine anyone having any trouble with this girl, she just needs love, patience and companionship to help her continue to grow into her own. Could you be the family for her?
BIO:
Hi everyone, I’m Gracie! I came from a home in Nashville where one of the residents didn’t treat me very well so when I first came to rescue, I was very afraid. I didn’t want to interact with the dogs or people. But, they were all kind to me and slowly I saw I had nothing to fear. Now, I’m a happy girl willing to explore and run with the other dogs at the AADR halfway house.
Bye for now but I hope to hear that you’ve talked to my foster mom and put in an application for me!
A word from her foster mom: We think that Gracie would do better with another, well-socialized dog to help her to continue to come out of her shell. She can’t be an only dog. There was another dog in her previous home and Gracie needs the help of a more alpha dog for confidence. A fenced yard is a must as well, and hopefully someone that’s home a lot to help her. She came into rescue overweight so we have her on a diet to help her lose weight. She is losing and that MUST continue after she is adopted. All in all, Gracie is a sweet, sweet girl and anyone would be lucky to have her!
