BIO: Hi out there, my name is Coral aka Poe! I am what is called a “Chiweenie”, whatever that is. I find myself back at the rescue again looking for my furever home for the second time due to no fault of my own. My previous owners adopted me from AADR when I was just a puppy, and at the time, they had no children. Then when the baby arrived and became a toddler we didn’t get along very well. My family thought it was best that I was returned to the rescue. It was a very sad day for me when I lost the only family that I had ever known.
Let me tell you a little about myself! I am a little timid and shy until I get to know a person. Foster mommy says that is okay, that those are things that I can overcome. She says that I am very smart and catch on fast. There are 3 other dogs in the home and I love palling around with them. They’re older dogs and they don’t play much, but when I can get one of them to play with me, that is such fun! I would love to have a home with another dog to play with, oh and a fenced-in back yard. I love to explore the yard looking for new smells. I am housetrained, crate, and leash trained. I lost a few teeth when I had my dental but that does not stop me from eating dry dog food. I also know some basic commands. I will come on whistle or when my name is called. I know “crate,” “out” to go outside, “sit,” and “settle” (if I am getting too excited). What more could a person ask for?!
If I sound like the prefect little lady for you, please go to the rescue website at allamericandachshundrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. You can also email my foster mommy and she will tell you all about me. She says that I give great doggie kisses, I love to be cuddled, and that I would make a great addition to a home!
