BIO: Mister was surrendered to the same shelter in TN 3 times all because he didn’t like cats.  You would think after the first time they would not have adopted to anyone with cats but that was not the case.  Finally, the 4th time they let rescue take him.

Look at that face!  Is Mister not the most handsome boy you’ve ever seen?!  And, he is SWEET too!  He’s fine with other dogs, male and female, but please absolutely NO cats.  That tells us he has a high prey drive so he would also not be good with rodents, birds, or anything he could see as prey.

We think that Mister would do best with a fenced-in yard and another dog for him to hang/play with.  Please consider giving him his LAST home.  Do not apply if you are not serious about loving him forever.  Please don’t break his heart again!

Mister is a sweet, sweet boy and if you want more info on him, please email his foster mom.

More about Mister in MD

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
