BIO (UPDATE 4/14/17): After being in his Foster Home for only a week, it has become apparent that Baron prefers to be gated into a room with his doggy bed, KONG and potty pads, as opposed to being crated. He is fine in a crate for a short time, but is much happier being gated. We would really like to see Baron be adopted into a home where he will not be crated/gated for long periods of time. He is not a high maintenance dog, but his human is the center of his world and he wants to be the center of yours. We think he would be fine as an only dog or as part of a pack. Baron is a very friendly and happy go lucky kind of guy and he loves his toys! Check-out his video below.
BIO:
Are you looking for a very handsome and laid back boy to add to your pack? Then Baron might be the dog for you! Baron came right into our home like he has been there for years and made instant friends with his Foster Brother. He is good with the female dog in the house and the cats as well. Baron will go into his crate while you are away, but he does not like to spend much time in there. There is no place in the world he would rather be than with you and preferably on your lap!
Baron is a happy boy and loves to go bye-bye in the car and also for walks. It seems that thunder storms make him a little uneasy, but he is just a little nervous and will calm down if you allow him to sit next to you. Baron is not much of a burrower but would still love to sleep in the big bed with his people! So far, he is not much of a barker. He will bark along with the other dogs, but is usually the first to stop and run back to be with you. We have not witnessed any marking or accidents in the house and he uses the doggy door like a champ. You really could not ask for a better little man.
If you think this guy would fit well into your family, please apply at allamericandachshundrescue.org and/or email Foster Mom at decollinss@aol.com.
