BIO: Luke is a typical puppy, chewing your shoes or fingers. For that reason, you’ll need to redirect him when he does that. He and his brother, Popper, were turned over to us because they felt it was best for an organization like AADR to find them a special home. We know there are people out there that have dealt with Double Dapples before and may be looking for another to add to their pack. Luke is ALL puppy and loves to beat his little brother up.

We want a fenced in yard for him and someone that’s home a lot to help him with housebreaking. Another younger dog for him to play with would also be helpful.

Luke can’t go to his forever home until he’s had his second set of shots on April 24th.

If someone adopts him locally, then he could be picked up April 24th.

E-mail if you’d like more info on him or his brother, Popper.

More about Luke #1......VA(MUST be adopted with Popper)

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
