BIO: MUST have a fenced in yard ... this little guy is FAST!

Ren here, thank you for reading about me.  I am adorable!  Everyone who visits my foster home, just adores me.  I am good with little people from two years all the way to 14 years old.  They hug me and are loveable.  I love the attention!  I am busy and follow everyone around.  I am a pure puppy and am learning commands.  I am doing very well with going potty outside.

My foster home has 3 dogs of their own.  I get along well with them.  I even snuggle with them sometimes.  They also have this thing called a cat, well, he doesn't like to play and puts me in my place.

I do sleep in a crate at night as the others do, and when the family goes away, I am also put in my crate.  I do very well in it.

I love to play and take all the toys out of the basket.  I like to go for walks but need a harness.  A fenced in yard is a must because I LOVE to romp around.

Should you have any other questions please contact my foster mom, she will be more than happy to talk with you.

And, please check out my pictures!

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
