BIO:  Hi, P.J. here and I'm looking for my new Furever Home! 

P.J. was an owner surrender due to family changes.  He is one of those dogs that has maintained a sweet personality throughout his ordeal.  Even with everything going on, P.J. is a good dachshund.  He is curious and has made friends with all of the other dogs in his foster household.  P.J. wants to check everything out, and when he gets used to his surroundings he loves running outside, investigating, and being everything that we love about Dachshunds!! 

P.J. is house trained, crate trained, walks well on leash, and loves to curl up in his bed or curl up with one of the other dogs to take nice long naps.  We have 4 cats in the home with P.J. and he hasn’t had a problem with any of them.

P.J. is a great little guy and he will be a fantastic addition to your home!  If you are the lucky person who P.J. chooses, you will be rewarded with a loving, wonderful Doxie!  Please give P..J a chance!!

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
