BIO:

Heidi is full of love and kisses that she shares as soon as she is comfortable with a new person, which is only a matter of hours at most.  Like most dachshunds, she is food driven and loves to cuddle – especially in the big bed.  She adores squeaky toys, exploring outside and car rides.  She does not like strangers coming into her home, but she warms quickly.

Heidi is a true mini at just under 10 pounds so she is easy to take everywhere. This little one has it all – cute, petite, lovable with personality plus; don’t wait too long before submitting your application, she won’t last long!

If you are interested in Miss Heidi or have questions about her, please contact her foster mom, Debbie, at debbie_dodd@hotmail.com.

More about Heidi #7......NC

Good with Dogs, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
