BIO:

Hi, my name is Amy and I came in with my brother Robbie from a breeder release in middle TN.  I love to play with the other puppies here and I love to run in the yard.  For that reason, they said I need a fenced yard and someone home a lot to let me in and out and help me to get house trained.  I also need another young dog to play with because if not, I’ll get myself in all kinds of trouble.

I’m 4 months old and over 6 pounds so I’m likely going to weigh 15-16 pounds when fully grown -  so, no mini here!  I’m sweet as can be and I love to cuddle.  Do you like to cuddle?  If so, we could be a great pair.  Please adopt me!!

If you want to know more about me, just contact my foster mom, Diane, at aadrpresident@gmail.com.  She will give you the scoop on what an awesome little girl I am!

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
