Hi, my name is Beethoven and I’m just a laid back kinda guy. I know my brother says he beats me up daily but the truth be known, I let him. My most important thing to do is chill out and cuddle.

I’m going to be bigger than my brother but don’t know how big, maybe 35-40 pounds. I sure am cuter than my brother, and I’m not going to have long legs either, so I’m going to look pretty handsome with my beautiful coat, shorter legs, and laid back attitude. My mom is a dachshund and dad...well, I’m not so sure.

My mom will be on here looking for her forever home too. She found herself in a very rural shelter in East TN and after being there just a day or two, she had us. One of us didn’t make it, but my brother and I grew and flourished. Now it’s time for us to all find homes! They say we can’t go anywhere until we’ve had our second set of shots and that’s the 6th of December. It would be awesome to be home for the holidays!!

Please consider giving me a forever home, I promise to be your best bud.

If you want more info about me, please contact my foster mom at aadrpresident@gmail.com.  She’ll tell you what a great guy I am and the things you need to know about giving me my new home.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
