BIO:

This sweet little girl came from a breeder.  Luckily for her and several of her siblings, the woman gave many of them up as she couldn’t care for them all.  They had some worms and ear mites, but all are being taken care of with medications.

Her name is Sister and she is a beauty!  She has a very shiny black coat that is so smooth, like silk.  Her paws are adorable as they have black stripes through the brown color on them.  She is smart and is a fast learner.  Sister minds well for a puppy (and doxie) and loves to give kisses.

Sister does well with our 3 dogs and likes our next-door cat so she will do fine with both.  She is a sweetheart so she should be fine with children too.  A watch dog she has been, but not a barker just to bark.  This little girl is a great dog and I believe she will do well in any home.

We have only had her one week, but she acts as if she has always been with us.  Sister is laid back, and not nervous or anxious.  She will be a wonderful addition to your home. You will get lots of love from her and she loves to be loved!

You may contact us at chlongo@knology.net for any questions, but to adopt this beautiful girl fill out an application via AADR website.

More about Sister.....NC

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
