BIO:

Bama is a little guy who is making his way in the world on 3 legs.  But don’t tell him that he has a handicap!  Bama has a wheelchair that AADR purchased for him and he really gets around. He just got his wheels and is learning to use them.  Bama has no trouble walking or running. AADR did not want him going to a home without his wheels because the way he balances himself while walking and running without them could cause his neck to bother him in the future.

Now to the best stuff….This is the sweetest boy ever! He loves people and other animals. He is a snuggle bear that enjoys playing with toys and hiding under the covers in bed. Bama teases the squirrels in the yard by hiding behind the blinds and jumping out when they get to the feeder.

Please contact me, Bama’s foster mom, at Tracypgp@yahoo.com, if you are at all interested in him.  Bama’s disability does not hold him back and he hopes it won’t be a problem for you because you are about to find your new best friend. Bama has no other medical issues. His foster family thinks he is perfect!

More about Bama Boy #3.....NC

Good with Dogs, Good with Adults

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
