Please say hello to Ben!! He is an adorable 7 week old that was born while in rescue. He loves to play so much that we will often find him in his bed shaking the living daylights out of a toy or walking around with his toys in his mouth. He plays really well with his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He is also not afraid of his big foster brothers and sisters. He loves to explore and hide under the couch! His favorite thing to do though is to give kisses! Ben is such a sweet little boy and would love to have a forever home of his own. He will bring joy and laughter galore!

Due to their age, we cannot transport the puppies. If your application is approved, you will have to come to Clarksville, TN to pick your puppy up. This is not negotiable.

We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this, you need to take this up with your legislatures.

We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of $45.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another $50.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
