Meet Brodie ....
A SMCTT (Single Male Chocolate/Tan Tweenie) Looking for Love (and Kisses) .... from you !!!!
A real ladies man, Brodie likes long walks, a good squeak toy, and to sleep in a big, big bed with you !!!!! At a mere 6 years old, he is sophisticated enough to know what he wants, he is slightly cautious at first, but once he gets to know and love you, there is no more loyal and loving a pal, companion, friend, that anyone could want or hope for. Brodie likes to keep to a schedule and doesn't mind the crate (his sanctuary), while you are away. Fond of Rachel Ray's Nutrish, he needs to mind his boyish, 12 pound figure in order to stay shapely and trim. Brodie maintains one of the softest, fur coats I've ever stroked !!! Up for a good romp or game of tug of war with a child, is right up Brodie's alley, but does prefer the 8 and older crowd. If you'd like to meet our eligible bachelor Brodie, please email foster mom Sandi Steckler Gibson at thegibber13413@yahoo.com for more information. Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about BRODIE...PA
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
