BIO:

Hi!  I’m Becca and I am looking for my real true keep me Furever Home!  My other family gave me up because I was too much for the toddlers in the house.  For this reason, my Foster Mommy thinks a home with children over the age of 8 would be a better fit for me.   And in my Foster Home there are cats!  I am not sure what to think of them...they kind of scare me right now, so I stay away.  There are also girl doggies and boy doggies which I am fine with.  Sometimes I try to get them to play, but we do not know each other very well yet, so maybe after some time they will play with me more.

Some of the things I like to do are to hang out outside and soak up some sunshine, eat (treats are yummy), I like to be pet and talked to and I love to snuggle on the couch with the Foster Family.

At night, I get to sleep in the big bed!  Sometimes I burrow under the covers and other times I curl up in a ball at the end of the bed.  I stay there all night without a peep.  They tell me all the time what a good girl I am and that I listen so well!  I want to make my people happy!  I go potty outside, I am crate trained and I do good on a leash.  And just look at my sweet face!!

If you think you might want to be my keep me forever home, you can look me up on the AADR website at http://www.allamericandachshundrescue.org/ and/or email my Foster Mommy at decollinss@aol.com.

More about Becca.....VA

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
