BIO:
Hi everyone, my name is Milo! I am a 9 years young handsome, tweenie, red smooth coat Dachshund. I woke up one day on the front porch of a lady's house in a box with a cat. She tried to find a home for me and realized she needed the help of a rescue like AADR. That is how I came to be in foster.
I am doing great in my foster home, I get along with all the boy and girl dogs and even the cats! I am house-trained and will tell you that I need to go out by going to the door. I am crate and leash trained and am looking for my very own furever home.
I would do great in a home with a fenced yard and a home with a brother or sister to play with. I sleep in the crate but would also do well in the big bed if allowed. If I sound like your perfect Dachshund, please email my foster mommy at Cathyjbm@aol.com and fill out an application at www.allamericandachshundrescue.org.
More about Milo.....WI
Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
