Donald is a great little “kid” here at my house. He and his brother Ronald came together. All these boys love to do is play and enjoy life. They run, romp, jump, and wrestle with one another. They blended in so well with the rest of the crew here you would have thought they were here since they had been born. Donald is extremely friendly and out-going. He would be would be great in any home that would be willing to give him the attention and love that he deserves. Are you that home? Ronald and Donald along with there mom Charity were left at a house when the people moved out. We don’t know how long they were there but finally the neighbors started to complain about the dogs abandoned. A Good Samaritan went and rescued these three or they would have been put right to sleep.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dog’s cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If going by ground transport, the adopter is responsible for an additional fee of $25 for the required Health Certificate to cross state lines. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about DONALD...IN
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
