Wally is full of energy and loves to spend his days outside playing in a fenced-in yard. He loves playing with a ball or his toys. Wally uses the doggy door like a pro. He hasn't had any accidents at his foster home, not even the first day there! Wally does well with his foster brothers but should be placed with a family with no other aggressive or dominant dogs. Wally has jealously issues and needs to be placed with an experience dachshund owner that can work more on his issues. He loves giving kisses and getting belly rubs. He will burrow deep under blankets when he naps. A fenced in yard would be his dream home, since he absolutely loves being outside if the weather is nice.
Wally is looking for his furever home, if you are interested please email me at clymer_emily@yahoo.com or fill out an application at www.allamericandachshundrescue.org. We look forward to hearing from you!

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
