BIO:

Bobbie was found wandering the streets of Alabama.  Surprisingly, no one claimed this beautiful dog.  She is so sweet and loving.  She is a very happy dog, tail wagging constantly, and she greatly enjoys attention.  Bobbie made herself at home right away with my husband and me, and she immediately made friends with our dogs, both large and small.   She also enjoys cuddling all the time.

She is still getting used to her new surroundings in our home and we are working with her on where it is appropriate to potty.  She is young and is easily trainable.

Bobbie’s dream is to have a wonderful forever family filled with caring and love for her.  Can you provide her with that?

More about Bobbie.....FL

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
