BIO:

Dalton is the sweetest little guy ever! When he came to us, he had two broken hips and a tummy full of wire. Surgery repaired the hips and nature took care of the wire. He shows absolutely no signs of ever having any issues. He is very full of energy and spends half of his day wrestling with his foster brother so a home with a friend for him would be ideal. He loves to be outside playing so a fenced in back yard is a must for this little guy. He loves to give kisses and gets super excited when his humans walk through the door. He is crate trained but also loves the big bed with his foster mom and dad. Potty training is still a work in progress but he does ok if you keep him on a schedule.

Dalton has not let his rough start in life slow him down at all. He loves everyone! He deserves a forever home where he will know that no one will ever hurt him again.

More about Dalton.....OH

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
