Annie here, I have been in my new foster home for about a day and half.I have warmed up nicely with my foster mom's dogs.
Roxie looks just like me and very sweet, Nicolas he could care less. Rex he just wants to lick and kiss me. I was sunning with them, but other than that just kinda hang by myself.
Probably when a little more comfortable, will hang with them more and most likely play with them.
They have a bird Sammy, very curious about him, got scolded for being on the table to see him closer.
I go out to potty and am crated at night, go right in my foster mom than covers the crate. It's warm and cozy.
I am sweet and looking for a forever home who will sit with me so I can cuddle, and be another member of the family.
Any questions please get in touch with Celeste with any other questions about me.
Also video links to Youtube are ok and encouraged. However, inclusion of videos to the dog’s bios is at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors and Johnny based on quality, content, and favorable portrayal of the dachshund(s).
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If they choose transporting by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
To understand the adoption process through AADR please visit the Adoption Information. Transportation options are outlined on that page in Step 3.
If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and then you can complete an Application.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
