Hello All my name is Bobby and I would like to have my very own Furever Home.  I am a Big Boy but I have a big heart to love a family with.  Tell you a little about myself, I was with my mom for 3 years and she past away and I didn’t have anyone that wanted me.  I did show up at the shelter but the good people there knew about AADR and they came and got me. I am a litle shy at first but show me you ok and I will warm up and will play ball with you.  I love my toys and will play fetch with you.  I am crate trained, house trained if you keep me on a schedule, I love to ride in the car and can walk with you on my leash.

I have been told I need to lose about 4 pounds because at my age I do love to explore the yard and scare off the squirrels so a good weight will help me.  Being light on my feet it will be good for me to play outside because I love going out the doggie door if you have one. 

I have been told that I like things my way so I will need a strong pack leader to keep me in check. If you are looking to add to your Furfamily please look at me.

If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above.  They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. 

We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If you choose transporting by either volunteers through our organization or by paid transporter, there will be an additional $45 Fee added for the required Health Certificate. 

We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this, you need to take this up with your legislatures.

We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of $45.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another $50.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.

We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well.  For now, please look for dogs on your coast.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
