BIO

Are you ready for a healthy dose of puppy breath?? Well here’s your chance. This little boy came from Greenville, AL surrender by his owners after they found out he was blind and they thought deaf but we think he can hear high pitched noises. He is a Double Dapple and unfortunately the product of breeders that don’t know what they are doing. This little baby is sweet beyond words, loves people and other dogs. He loves to be out in the grass and will run in the yard with wild abandonment. He is going to need a VERY special family to adopt him. One that knows about blind and deaf dogs and knows how to train and live with them. It has to be someone that has the patience to train him because he can’t hear or see you this will have to be special training. If you’ve had a blind or deaf dog before and are looking for the love of your life look no further, here he is. We will be screening applications very carefully to help him find his forever home.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
