BIO

Abby Rose is the sweetest girl this side of heaven. She came from an Mo puppymill and she’s now looking for her forever home with someone that will understand that she needs patience and love to forget where she came from. She gets along with other dogs, very submissive to both dogs and humans, she just wants love. She will go outside to potty through the doggie door but would need to be taken out if no doggie door on a schedule. Fenced yard would work best but with love and patience she probably would potty on a leash, she just wants to please.

If you have the love she had the time and she wants to join your family BUT if you are not willing to help her get over “the puppymill thing” please don’t apply. You have to be committed to do what it takes to make her a part of your family!

More about Abby Rose...GA

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
