BIO:

Bella and Buddy are definitely a bonded pair and are adorable to see them playing & wrestling together.  You will certainly appreciate their special bond: if they are apart for even a short period of time; they act like they have never seen each other for years…it is absolutely heart-warming & precious.  They get along with all the foster dogs (large and small) but do not have an issue for standing up for their small size!   Both Bella & Buddy have very sweet dispositions and very willing to please.  They are cuddlers and snugglers like any doxie.   If you think that your family is missing a Dynamic Doxie Duo like Bella & Buddy, please submit an application for adoption to All American Dachshund Rescue or send further questions or inquiries to their foster mom.

Please adopt as a pair, as they are bonded and would prefer not to be separated.

Bella and Buddy were surrendered by a lady in Knoxville, TN when one of her co-workers didn’t want the dogs. They are sweet, sweet dogs but are very bonded and we just can’t imagine separating them. They are doing very well on housetraining and get along with all the fosters in the home. Please e-mail the foster mom for more pictures and an updated bio.

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
