Cindy is a very sweet and loving doxie/basset. She is very affectionate and yearns for affection from her owner as well as other dogs. She gets along well with younger pups and is very playful with them. She gets along with children and loves for them to dote and pat her. She even loves for them to play with her ears. Cindy is very healthy and energetic and enjoys going for walks on her leash. She is potty trained and also crate trained and doesn't seem bothered to have to stay in her crate during work hours as long as she gets to potty before she is crated and immediately when you get home from work. Please consider adopting this sweet girl!! She will make a great pet for someone--especially someone with children that want a dog that will not be aggressive towards the children!! Give sweet little Cindy Lou Who your last name and don't make her stay in Whoville forever with no last name!!! Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about CINDY1...NJ
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
