Beaner is a owner surrender. His owner was injured and could no longer take care of him. Beaner is a wonderul, wonderful boy! He is very friendly and just loves everybody. He gets along very well with other dogs, cats and kids. He loves to give kisses! He is crate trained and sleeps all night in his. He loves to go for car rides, and gets very excited at walk time. He does love his walks! He loves to play, his favorite game is tug of war. You would never tell he was a senior with his energy level! He outplays and outlasts all his foster brothers and sisters who are a lot younger than him! If you're looking for a fun loving, affectionate, beautiful boy, Beaner is the one for you!
Beaner is being fostered in Spencer NY

More about BEANER...NY
Good with Cats, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
