BIO

Daisy, Daisy, “ I’m half crazy all for the love of YOU!”  This is what you will be singing, when Daisy is in your life!  Daisy is a sweet, affectionate girl and loves to lap sit or just sit beside you quietly.  She seems to get along with our two doxies.  She is a bit competitive for your attention, when around other dogs, but does not get aggressive, just a bit vocal.  She is a good alarm dog, and will announce visitors at the door.  She has been good when left alone, no anxiety, and no destructive habits.  She would rather sleep in her crate, than in the bed. She loves walks, and is very good on the leash.  She is well house trained, and goes to the door.  She is very smart, and obeys commands.  She may be a bit shy at first, but quickly warms to you.  She will make a wonderful companion.

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
