BIO: Hi my name is Chaz, it’s not always been my name, I didn’t have one cause I’m a puppymill survivor.
If not for a kind lady I would likely have been shot because I was not needed any longer. I actually took the place of another dog that was supposed to come to dachshund rescue but my breeder wanted him and not me so here I am. I sure hope he’s ok. When I first came to rescue I was soooo scared. So many new things to learn, thankfully some of the other fosters showed me some new things that were not scary when I tried them. Like the doggie door, getting good food and did I tell you about the doggie beds?! I’ve never slept in a doggie bed before I can here, wow they are GREAT!! I sleep in a doggie bed now all the time when I’m not trying to learn to play with the other fosters or myself. I’m learning this isn’t such a scary world after all and everyone likes me!
I’m still learning the doggie door and have accidents but I’ve only been out of the puppymill for about 3 weeks.
Right now I’m fine with my foster mom but not sure about foster dad, he’s big and scary but he feeds me so he’s not too bad, I just need time to get used to him cause at my puppymill place it was a woman that took care of me.
My wish is a home that’s on the quiet side, with or without a doggie door but must have a fenced yard. I also need you to be patient with me while I learn all about this big world. Will you be my new mommy and daddy?
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
We will not adopt into the state of CT, RI or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have an issue with this you need to take this up with your legislatures.
We are now approved to adopt/foster in the state of NH but adopters will have to pay health certificate fee of 35.00 once to get the dog to our quarantine facility and another 35.00 fee to get the dog out of quarantine after two days.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport.
