Hi, my name is Oscar6, I am a two year old wire haired doxie and I weight about 10 pounds. I am coming into rescue because my mom had a baby and I don't like to share my mom, so when the baby got a little older, I bit him. I am not proud to say it, but yes, I bit him and then the other kid when he came into my mom's life, I bit him, too. I just don't like kids. Period. They are just too loud and to fast running through the house, kids make me nervous!

I need to find a house without kids in it. A home with people that will only love me and let me be the apple of their eyes. I am too young to be labeled 'biter'. I just need the right environment to grow up in. Is that home with you?

If you think you have the right home, I will be at my foster mom's house on May 10th. Please writer her an e-mail and let her know if I might be able to live with you forever!

I will be up to date on all of my shots, I will be neutered and have my heartworm test current.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
