BIO:

I am one of 10 puppies – my mommy is Sparkle (b/t dachshund - min-pin mix) and they say my daddy was a “traveling salesman”.  I am a happy and playful puppy- I like to chew on things- so my foster mommy got me a yummy cow hoof to chew.  I came to Michigan with three of my siblings- my two sisters have moved to New York with new families.   I’m still looking for my “Furever” home and maybe a little boy or girl to play with?  I’m not afraid of cats- even though I think they look a lot like a dog- they just don’t bark.  I like to play with toys, rip up paper, and maybe even a slipper or too (if you leave it on the floor for me).  I go outside to do my business- but I need to be watched because I really haven’t got the hang of it yet- I just need some direction of what to do and when!   All I need is my own family to love me, play with me and let me cuddle in a lap or two.  I’m very low key, easy going and I haven’t learned to bark much yet.  If you take me home with you- I will love you forever and be your BEST FRIEND!!

More about Pizazz...MI

Good with Dogs, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
