BEING FOSTERED IN WESTERN NY STATE
Bobbie was dropped off in the country with another dog JR and was found by a nice farmer who was going to keep them but his dog did not get along with them so he called up SSDR and they took him in and had them treated for mange and made current on all of his shots and neutering. He still has some bald patches but they are going in quite well and he should be back to a gorgeous coat soon. From Bobbie Hi, my name is Bobbie my foster mommy says I am the best snuggle puppy ever. It take me awhile to warm up to you and get to know you but once I do I’m all yours. I love to run and play with all the other doggies here but if my foster mommy or daddy are sitting or laying down where I can see them I just gotta go up and snuggle. I am a pretty good boy but I do have a lot of puppy energy in me and I sometimes mistake the human toys as my own but if you tell me no I will drop it (at least for a few seconds). I even like to snuggle with the little boy that lives here I even let him hug and kiss me and I even kiss him back. If you are looking for a sweet boy that LOVES to cuddle but still plays a lot too then I’m the man for the job. Out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
More about BOBBY...NY
Good with Dogs, Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
