BEING FOSTERED IN NJ.....

Henry is wonderful and his foster mom thinks he's the greatest and would love to adopt him but knows if she does than she can't continue to foster so she knows she has to find him a home. If someone does not adopt this guy they are really missing out!!
Children, 10+ or no children at all. HENRY does great with other dogs and he likes to play with cats. HENRY is on seizure meds twice a day and we are keeping and eye on that to make sure he's on the right dose. Henry has not had a seizure since we have had him on his meds so for the family to say that he kept having seizures is very puzzling to us because he's not had any with us as long as he is kept on his meds. HENRY is housebroken and loves to sleep in the big bed. If you'd like to make HENRY a part of your family please go to our website www.ssdr.org and fill out our online adoption application. HENRY is so worth adopting as he has a great zest for life.
Out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
