BIO:
Bella was given up by her owner due to owner’s health problems. Bella is a sweet sweet girl that anyone would love to have. She is completely housebroken and will go to the door to ask to go out or will hold it until she can be let out. She is crate trained but crating is not needed because she is not destructive when you have to leave her. She could either go to someone with an 8 hour working day or someone that is retired. She is a love what more can we say. She did have 18 teeth removed due to advanced dental disease but she is now on the mend and will be ready for her new home.
She walks great on a leash and would love to walk with you if that is what you like but she’s also light enough if you had to carry her for a distance. Bella just really wants to be near her people but she also likes to lay out in the sun on a sunny day and warm her belly. So if you have a garden or flower bed she’ll be happy to help you with that. Bella is about as next to perfect as you can get. Please apply soon she won’t last long.
More about Bella 5...TN
Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Is Not Good with Kids
AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
