BIO:

Tiffany is an owner surrender from AL. She is such a sweetie and so happy. She loves the big bed. She can't get enough love and will follow you everywhere.   She is using a pee pad when left at home but would love to have a big back yard to play in when you are home. She loves to go with you everywhere you will take her. Not fond of vet though. 

She has not been around children so I would not recommend her to go to a home with children under 10 years old.  She is still afraid of most people and will bark at them and then back away.  She will come around in a few minutes and love on them. 

If you put her off of your lap in the evening you may find her in bed. I have steps up to the bed and I find her in bed under the covers. (see attached picture)

She has separation anxiety and can be vocal sometimes she will tear up a pee pad. Nothing else is torn up. I have a 'thunder shirt' and it seems to help some. She does not like a crate. 

This sweetheart deserves to be with you and to love you.  Tiffany has extra kisses for you.  She will sleep on your chest and in your arms. She wants to be with you in her forever home. 

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
