BIO:
Oakley came to us from Birmingham, AL where he was gotten by a Good Samarian whom wanted him to have a good home. That’s about all we know about him. We do know that by looking at his teeth we was not well cared for before he came to us. He will be getting a dental where he’ll probably lose most of his teeth but other than his teeth he’s in great shape.
Oakley has not barked once since he’s been here! He loves a nice soft doggie bed and he likes to be in the same room with his people and will seek you out if you go to another room, other than that you’d never even know he’s around. He’s a good eater, uses the doggie door or will go out when you go out to use the potty.
Oakley is a great little guy and deserves the best last forever home. We’d like to see him “home for the holidays”. Can you be that home for him? He will not be any trouble and came in here like he’d always been here. Please help him find a home.
If you have questions about this dog please feel free to contact the foster home at the email address listed above. We welcome out of state and Canadian adoptions, but we will not ship any dog via cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.
Please Read Before You Adopt to learn more about transportation options. If you are interested in adopting this Dachshund please Read Before You Adopt and Fill Out an Application. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.
Out of State and Canadian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.
