BIO:

Baylee was rescued by AADR 2 years ago from a puppy mill when she was 4 years old.  She was adopted, but unfortunately given back up recently due to family issues.  She is a sweet, mild tempered couch potato!  She came to her foster home a little over weight and we have been taking daily walks and she is losing the extra pounds.  She has a foster brother who she gets along with just fine.  She is pretty quiet and does not bark much.  Baylee would be a great addition to an older couple.  She doesn’t require much other than lots of doggy kisses.  She prefers to sleep in the big bed and sleeps all night without moving an inch.  We are working on potty training with only a few accidents.  Baylee is such a sweet girl and would love to find her a family that will love her for the rest of her life.

More about Baylee...GA

Good with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
