BEING FOSTERED IN WEST TN

Meet Louie, a very handsome young man. We were told that he was between 2-3 years old, which seems pretty accurate, and weighs about 11 lbs. Louie loves to play ball and sometimes will even bring it back to have you throw it again. Also, he has started playing tag with his foster brother, SSDR Dog Blue, they run and run around the couch trying to catch each other, when they do catch the other, they start running in the opposite direction, it is so cute! Louie appears to be crate trained and housebroken. He is a confident little dachshund and an experienced owner would be recommended and no children under 12. The home that Louie is looking for is with a family that will provide him training, set rules and limitations, so this young dachshund will understand his boundaries and become a wonderful companion. Please email Louieā€™s foster mom if you have any questions at rotownersrus@yahoo.com
out of State and Canidian adopters are welcome. We do not ship our dogs cargo. You will have to make arranements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN A RESCUE.

More about LOUIE...OH

Good with Dogs

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
