BIO:

Bluebell is a sweet and wonderful little girl who came from a tough past life. She is a puppymill survivor and has come along very well. She loves to cuddle with you and lay with you in the big bed and along side of you as you watch tv. She is crate trained and about 90% housebroken when taken out on a regular schedule. I am requiring a full fenced in backyard for her since she is not leash trained yet.  I am working on leash training and she is getting better every day. This dog has adjusted to normal life very, very well. She loves people and bonds very quickly with you. We do not suggest any children for her because she has had a tough life and we don’t want to add a lot of stress to her because she has come along so well. She would be perfect for seniors or a couple because she is not high activity like a younger dachshund. She is perfectly content to sit in the chair next to you while you read or take a nap. She is not a couch potato either, because if you are in the kitchen cooking, she is right there with you, can you be Bluebell’s newest buddy? If so, please go online to our website:

www.allamericandachshundrescue.org and fill out an adoption application for her.

More about Bluebell...GA

Good with Dogs, Is Not Good with Kids

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteers that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast and mid-west. We just can't get them from one coast to the other. For now, please look for dogs on your coast.
