BIO:  Bliss came in as an owner surrender in AR. Lady didn’t want her any longer and her kids had teased the dog to the point she didn’t like them. She has a very high prey drive so has to go to someone that will not have cats, rabbits, birds or mice. She is very sweet and will make a great addition to the right family.

You will have to make arrangements to pick up the dog or for them to go by ground transport. If shipping by volunteers through our organization or paid transporter, then there will be an additional $35 Fee for the required Health Certificate.

Please don't let the distance stand in your way of finding your newest best friend. We have volunteer that will help your "new friend" get up and down the East Coast or up and down the West Coast. We just can't get them from one Coast to the other but some day we hope to have enough volunteers to do that as well for now please look for dogs on your coast.

AADR does not recommend dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund's back or get bitten.
